The Bells The Bells

Easter Sunday morning and just about to have a mid morning cuppa when I heard the bells.

Grabbed the coat and the umbrella as the heavens had opened, out the front door and stood listening to one of the most beautiful sounds around. The ringing of the church bells.

The spire of the Majestic Christ Church in Bray is visible from my front gate and the peal of bells seemed to ring out hope. It was a purely magical few minutes, the lush green of the grass,  the sky a soft grey, the pink cherry blossoms standing out against the grey sky, the smell of the last hyacinths and all wrapped by the sound of the bells.

Beauty to be seen heard and smelt.
